Missing you!
You can’t imagine how very much I miss all of you! And, the fun, creativity, and camaraderie of blogging.
Where have I been? Well, the answer is quite simple. I’ve been working. A lot.
I have many passions in life. Some of you know I love to create in the kitchen, eat, and share those recipes with you. I’m passionate about my family and friends and the little dogs. And, I’m pretty passionate about work.
For a few years I worked part time and during that period I learned about my food sensitivities and started The Sensitive Pantry.
It was a good time for me. My son was in high school and for the first time I was around when he got home from school. I started to decompress from corporate life and found that the old me—the one who was still creative, and funny, and could be calm and thoughtful about so many things—still existed.
I still worked but not as much. Fortunately for me I was able to connect with a company that was growing in a depressed economy. We started working together and one thing lead to another. I am now working within that company and I’m excited to be part of the organization that will help lead them through their continued growth.
It’s a lot of work. A lot. (Oh, yeah, I said that already.)
So, not as much time as I’d like to let the creative juices flow in the kitchen and then onto the blog. I’ve tried but my cooking mojo is just not up to par. And, I promised myself I would not stress about it.
The plan is this. If I can I will cook up a storm and share it. If not, then I won’t. That simple. No pressure.
So, expect a new recipe from me now and again.
My love to all of you. I have had so much fun playing in the kitchen and online with you for these past few years. I will come and play with you again when I can!

Good for you. Sometimes you have to go where life takes you. I'll have to be content with you feel like you have the time to share.
No worries, Nancy! I have a feeling that you'll at least make an appearance when it's berry season again. ;-) So we'll be okay. And as long as you are doing work you enjoy and manage to also work in some R&R with the hubs, the rest of the family, those doggies, and friends close by, I know you'll be fine, too. :-)
xo,
Shirley
It's nice to see you pop in again...but it's also good to hear that you're enjoying the work you're doing! Best of luck to you. :-)
Welcome back!!!!
Welcome Back!!!
Life never lets you become complacent does it? I'm so glad you are loving what you're doing! We'll take you however you can fit us in :)
I am just now starting my journey on gluten/dairy/egg free, but I'm so glad I found your blog! Can't wait to dig into all the recipes you have made :-) good luck to you within your company!
Thanks, Tiffany!!
Hi welcome back. I've been a on/off reader for some time. I just started a blog about my gluten free journey. May I add you to the blogroll?
Thanks,

Puja, Yes, of course. And, thanks. Nancy
Thanks you for keeping the site up and open. I just stumbled here maybe 6 months ago and it's been very helpful for me in raising a son with allergies and another with sensitivities to food. I understand the mojo thing, I was an author before I had kids then my whole self went into my family and my two sons. I know that's the direction the Lord is leading me and I don't stress about the creative part. You do what you think is best, but I'd ask if you could PLEASE leave your site open as long as you can afford to, for people like me that stumble and need help.
Hi Nancy,
I recently found out that I have food allergies/sensitivities (gluten, egg...she said dairy too, but it wasn't as bad as the others) but I love to eat. My problem...I am NOT a good cook (as I sit here eating a nasty salad that I conjured up). Not so much nasty on taste, but I wanted something HOT...right out of the oven! It's cold here in Missouri right now! Because I am not a good cook, I liked all of those "quick-fix" breakfasts/lunches/dinners. Microwave and go baby! I thought, how can I eat if I can't have eggs or gluten products?!? I was frustrated. I stumbled upon your website today and am totally excited! I have been looking at your recipes and am extremely happy because you have recipes that contain FOOD....not just cereal and nuts and boring food. Thank you for taking your time (when you had the time) to create the Sensitive Pantry. I noticed it's been a while since you been on here but I hope you know that you are still making an impact! Come back to visit when you can please!
Thank you for your time and effort on your website. I will enjoy trying your recipes!
Danielle
